The cross, the principal symbol of the Christian religion, recalling the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the redeeming benefits of his Passion and death. The cross is thus a sign both of Christ himself and of the faith of Christians. The symbol of the cross is found in paintings, statues, artifacts, jewelry, and more. A friend of mine is really religious and have the cross almost everywhere in the house, she wear a necklace and have about 6 tattoos of the cross.
That’s a good observation. I actually do see a lot of people who wear jewelry with a cross, have a tattoo of a cross or keep one on the wall of their home. I read another student’s post who wrote about how the flag of her country symbolizes her patriotism. It is a similar concept in the way that the cross represents the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and the strong faith of Christians.
Besides that a cross represents a place where Jesus died to redeem us from our sins, to set us free and to demonstrate the love that God have for Us. It is a Symbol for ages and cultures defining or representing different things
Praise the Lord . Like you say the cross symbolize multiple meaning and beliefs.
